The Welsh Not or Welsh Note was a piece of wood, inscribed with the letters “WN”, that was hung round the necks of children who spoke Welsh in some schools in the 19th century. The “not” was given to any child overheard speaking Welsh, who would pass it to a different child if overheard speaking Welsh. By the end of the day, the wearer of the “not” would be given a lashing. The idea of the “not” was to discourage pupils from speaking Welsh, at a time when English was considered by some to be the only suitable medium of instruction.

The Demon Core was the nickname given to an 6.2-kilogram (14 lb) subcritical mass of plutonium that accidentally went critical on two separate instances at the Los Alamos laboratory, in 1945 and 1946. Each incident resulted in the acute radiation poisoning and subsequent death of a scientist. After these incidents, the core was referred to as the Demon Core.

Sister Bluebird flying high above,
Shine your wings forward to the sun.
Hide the myst’ries of life on your way.
Though you’ve seen them, please don’t say a word.
What you don’t know, I have never heard.

Starship Trooper, go sailing on by, Catch my soul, catch the very night.
Hide the moment from my eager eyes.
Though you’ve seen them, please don’t tell a soul.
What you can’t see, can’t be very whole.

Speak to me of summer, long winters longer than time can remember,
Setting up of other roads, travel on in old accustomed ways.
I still remember the talks by the water, the proud sons and daughters that,
In the knowledge of the land, spoke to me in sweet accustomed ways.

Also known as a flier, the air/raft relies on solid-state anti-grav modules for lift and propulsion. Four independent, individually replaceable modules insure a maximum of safety, in that each provides one-quarter of the vehicle’s total lift

Note the analog control stick. I’m betting the avionics are quite simple and easy to fix. The only complex part is the solid-state antigrav units, and you can’t replace those anyway, just sent them back to the manufacturer for a price break on your next purchase.
Larger worlds with more developed and self-supporting economies probably sell specialized fliers, but any world on a Main is going to be selling these clunky yet effective modular designs.
